This is what I love about my life. Making an effort to constantly improve my life, improve myself. Earning more, getting better at what i do be it at work or leisure (including spending more! haha)
Went for my usual badminton session today. Looking back, we’ve been playing under Coach Pang for over a year now, of course in between we stopped for a few months so technically we haven’t really ‘trained’ for over a year, but finally today, i saw the improvement!
In the past, whenever he smashes, i can never take the shot. Even if i managed to the shuttle doesnt cross the net. It’s just way to fast and forceful. But today, i took it. and to top it up, i did it twice in a row! So my defense reaction and speed has certainly picked up!
And for the last few weeks, we’ve been doing drills. He’ll start with a high serve, i’m suppose to smash it, then he’ll net it, then i’ll net back, he’ll lift all the way to the back, i’m suppose to speed back there, do drop shot, then he’ll net it and i’ll net back again, he’ll lift it all the way to baseline, then i’m suppose to lob it all the way back to baseline.
Only then it’s considered a completed drill. For so many weeks i have not been able to complete 1 drill. cos usually by the time i get to the last step i’m usually too tired to exert much strength so the shot hardly reaches the baseline. but today, i did it!! and twice!
What a sense of achievement! *tap on head and shoulder* haha
Today after lunch, we went to T3 for the Book Fair. was looking forward to something worthy but it turned out to be……lame. haha i think they missed out the word ‘Kids’ in front of ‘Book Fair’. It is organised by Popular, but instead of books, it was more children’s stuff, things like toys, coloring book, children’s books etc. haiz..disappointing. but still, i manage to find something interesting:
